VI AT GRAYHAWK, A VI AND PLAZA COMPANIES COMMUNITY

I picked up a shift through a registry app that I work through. 6-2 on a Friday. The DON Amanda seemed to be caring and kind when it came to my concerns. But then blocked me from picking up any future shifts. It is a very upscale community. Not one black resident or patient. I was put with 2 hoyers and 3 Sarah lifts. The DON allowed her core staff to put an extremely heavy patient load on me while they had no heavy patient, no lifts ect. I’m glad they DNR me because when I left I almost wasn’t breathing anyway! Be careful! They’re all racist and look at blacks as if there at the bottom of the toting pole.

My parents moved into an Independent Living apartment at Vi Grayhawk over three years ago, and it was a great decision. I knew they had moved to the right place when, shortly after moving in, my Dad got 'wobbly' on the walk to the dining room, and quick as a flash one of the restaurant staff ran over and pushed a chair under him, and also a Security person came running over to see if he needed any help. It's clear the staff have been trained to look out for such incidents, and what to do when they occur. My parents have enjoyed the excellent facilities, the company of others, as well as not needing to deal with any home maintenance. At 94 my father became terminally ill and needed to go to the skilled nursing area. The care he was given was amazing - nothing was too much trouble, he was treated with dignity, and I could not have asked for more. My mother, at 93, is still in Independent Living, where she has found friendship and activities to keep her engaged. The management and staff are always helpful if any problems come up, and there are many large and small services that discretely support her continuing independence. This is especially important for me as I live in Australia. For anyone out there who is considering such a move for themselves or their parents, I would give my wholehearted recommendation.

We received more than expected in many ways. Jan Wiggins was very helpful in securing the unit, that was exactly what we had hoped for. The enmities, the personnel , the environment are always there for you.

My wife is a patient at VI’s at Grayhawk. The administration and patient staff are great to work with. They are currently helping my wife and I deal with a complex medical issue to help my wife recover following surgery. The facility is immaculately clean and food service is top notch. Patients can easily control their room temperatures. I highly recommend this facility.

Somehow my review got removed.. Vi at Grayhawk treats their employees very poorly. Also, their entire database was compromised in March, 2023. All of their existing and former residents and employees confidential data has been leaked.. they waited over 6 months to inform us.
